Trainer: Prof. Dr. Dirk-Jan F. Kamann

Dr. Dirk Jan KAMANNDutch born Dirk-Jan F. Kamann received a first honours degree in Economics at the University of Groningen, The Netherlands. After working 4 years on Regional Industrial Development in the Irish Republic he returned to Groningen, teaching Regional Economics, Technology Policies, International Management and Industrial Organization at the Faculty of Economics. He received his PhD there in 1988 and became a Full Professor in Purchasing and Supply Management in 1998 and scientific Director of the Groningen Research Institute of Purchasing (GRIP). He is Past President of the International Purchasing and Supply Education and Research Association (IPSERA). For four years, he also was Visiting Professor at the IAE of the Université Pierre Mendès France in Grenoble and more than 20 years involved as Kamann Consultancy B.V. in reorganisations of large international companies. In the same period, he was part of the Faculty of the Nijenrode Business School, teaching Supplier Relations Management in the Procurement MBA. Since 2013, he is a Research Professor at the University of Pannonia in Veszprém. He wrote a number of books and published a large number of national and international articles in leading journals. He lives with his Hungarian wife in Veszprém, has three children and three grand-children, is 1.93 meter tall, and his dog loves the park of Veszprémvölgyi.
