Interested in the science of management? Are you looking for a senior management position? Do you want to gain skills that are widely applicable in the business world? Do you want to be part of an innovative, modern management study programme where you can focus on your chosen specialisation from the start? A master’s degree in Management and Leadership is the ideal choice. You can choose from five different specialisations.
The course is offered in English on a full-time basis and in Hungarian on a part-time basis.

The objective of the program is to train professionals who hold a well-founded and integrated knowledge on management in general and on its more specific areas, depending on their specialisation.

  • Human Resources and Organisation Development Management: focuses on strategic and human aspects of organization development and leadership competencies.
  • International Management: the aim is to gain a complex insight into the international business life and international economic and market processes and the business culture and customs of other nations as well.
  • Sustainable Tourism Management: the aim is to train graduates who can manage complex tourism enterprises and destinations responding to the current trends and challenges of the industry, guided by the principles of sustainable tourism development.
  • Logistics and Supply Chain Management: the aim is to acquire the necessary competencies for design, operation and improvement of supply chains.
  • Controlling and Management Decisions Supporting: focuses on the interrelationship between management economics, corporate governance, controlling, accounting and corporate finance.

Graduates can work for enterprises and public organisations. Relying on their acquired knowledge they will be able to plan, analyse and lead the work processes of the competitive and public sectors. They are also able to identify new problems while applying the appropriate categories of organisational learning and their abilities of innovation and creativity. Graduates are well prepared to be able to continue their studies ate doctoral level.

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in the field of business, economics, management and sociology.

Application without precondition:

Students with (BA/BSc) degree in Business Administration and Management (or an equivalent degree of higher education) degrees, the credit acceptance is not required.

Application with precondition:

Applicants holding a degree of any level of higher education (BA/BSc, MA/MSc) except for the above mentioned programme, the credit acceptance is required.

Altogether 60 credit points from five study areas are required:

  • Methodological knowledge fields (like Mathematics, Statistics, Information Technology, etc.): 15 credit points
  • Economics knowledge fields (like Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, International Economics, Regional Economics, Economics History): 10 credit points
  • Business knowledge (like Corporate Economics, Corporate Finance, Marketing, Accounting, Leadership and Management, Human Resources, etc.): 15 credit points
  • Social sciences knowledge fields (like Sociology, Psychology, philosophy, etc.): 10 credit points
  • Management knowledge fields (like Strategic planning; Controlling; Human resource management, etc.): 10 credit points

Applicants need to have at least 30 credits before admission, the missing credits can be completed during the master studies.

Language requirements

B2 level English language certificate (TOEFL/IELTS/ESOL/BEC/ECL/PTE/FCE/CAE/TELC/TOEIC/Euroexam) or Attestation of Language Proficiency in the case of former studies in English.

The study programme specialises in 5 different areas. Applicants must choose a specialisation beforehand. The chosen specialisation need to be indicated at the application stage. Degree holders may find a job at any manufacturing and service companies, regardless of its profile, from small and medium-sized enterprises to multinationals (like consulting, IT, financial services, FMCG, energy; public sector)

Depending on the specialisation:

  • Human Resources and Organisation Development Management: HR department;
  • International Management: multinational and transnational companies, agencies of the European Union; diplomatic institutions and authorities dealing with international affairs;
  • Sustainable Tourism Management: hotels; tour operators and travel agencies, tourism management organisations and the related ministries;
  • Logistics and Supply Chain Management: Companies involved in transport and logistics;
  • Controlling and Management Decisions Supporting: financial, accounting and controlling departments of companies; financial institutions; economic consultancy firms.
