On 1 October, luxury tourism took centre stage in the Advanced Strategies for Tourism Enterprises module. Students explored the topic in luxury hotel settings, connecting theory with first-hand experience.

The programme began at Aria Hotel Budapest, where PhD student Mónika Horváth, whose research focuses on luxury tourism, introduced the key concepts. A guided tour then gave students the opportunity to explore how these ideas translate into the creation of luxury guest experiences.

The exploration continued at The St. Regis Budapest. Together, the two visits helped students consider what makes a service – and the guest experience it creates – truly luxurious.

Special thanks go to Máté Tolnai at Aria Hotel Budapest and Kitti Molich at The St. Regis Budapest, both former students of ours, for welcoming the group and sharing their professional insights. It was a pleasure to reconnect with our alumni and see them inspire the next generation of hospitality professionals.
