“True success is the joy of unleashing our potential. Unleashing the incredible tension about to burst to the surface is an explosion of fresh talent. Real success is the joy of witnessing the sprouting of new buds. True success is to have fulfillment. To fill the space that has been given to us. The moment of spreading wings and taking to flight.” (Péter Csermely)

What the Pentor program is?

On admission to university after high school, many feel lost, because the student may be faced with many new issues to resolve. The university requires a much greater level of independence than high school does. At the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Pannonia we have alread considered these issues a-prior to ease the transition for the students!

Starting in the autumn of 2015, our Pentor Program has been in operation at Pannon University. This is a mentoring program that is unique in the country, which aims:

✔ to support the professional and personal development of students entering the university;
✔ Its purpose is to help overcome initial barriers;
✔ to facilitate integration into university life after high school;
✔ and to encourage students to achieve their individual study and career goals.

Starting with the time they begin their studies, every student has either a teacher or a student as a mentor, who monitors the student’s academic progress and helps him / her in his / her personal development during his / her years at the university. Mentoring is based on the partnership between the mentor (= pentor) and the mentee, and has the essential element of confidentiality.

The personal meetings with the pentor and the entire process is free for the student.

In the Pentor Program, in addition to the personal consultations, the students can also take part in useful workshops. They can discuss university life and any issues that may arise, and also their solutions; learn how to achieve successful oral exams and how to use what you have learned in the courses, as well as taking part in interesting and exciting social programs during the „experience days” – which include visits to the local adventure parks, escape games, helper dog sensitization session, etc.
