]]> Between 7-13th of October 2019. a group of tourism students from the University of Macerata in Italy and wine professionals from the region visited Veszprém, where students from the University of Pannonia joined.

During the professional study tour of The Wine Lab the participants – 30 people – could attend lectures on tourism in the region, such as the insights into Veszprém 2023, the international and domestic trends of gastronomic tourism, the work of the Balaton Development Council, the Balaton World Heritage location, and the role of local values ​​and communities.

The participants visited several sites during the week. At Nemesvámos they were introduced to the production of pumpkin seed oil and cheese. In addition to visiting wineries related to wine tourism – Balatonfüred and Badacsony – the group visited the Faculty of Georgikon of the University of Pannonia and several cultural attractions.

The study tour in a great atmosphere provided a great opportunity for students and professionals interested in the topic to expand their knowledge and develop new relationships and collaborations.

The wine sector is present at many levels in the socio-economic life of Europe: wineries determine the lifestyle, socio-economic and natural environment of the people concerned.Winelab

The main objective of The Wine Lab, funded by Erasmus+ between 2017 and 2019, is to promote collaboration and networking between practice and research – wineries and universities – with the active involvement of stakeholders, thereby supporting knowledge sharing, challenges and responses to them; and innovation in the wine sector.

The project is carried out in cooperation with partners from Cyprus, Greece, Hungary, Italy and Austria; From Hungary, the University of Pannonia and the Koczor Winery are members of the consortium.

]]> WinelabAutumn 2019, the University of Pannonia hosts the Wine Week study tour with the participation of Italian and Hungarian university students, lecturers and professionals involved in wine tourism.

The five day programme includes lectures and field visits focusing on wine and gastronomy tour-ism in Veszprém and in the surroundings

The official language of the Wine Week is English, participants receive a certification after it.
