Advent charity for the Alex Animal Protection Association

Adventi adománygyűjtés a Gazdaságtudományi KaronContinuing the tradition, the Faculty of Business and Economics is organizing fundraising again this year to support the work of the Alex Animal Protection Association of Várpalota. Let’s help those little animals together!

There are many dogs in the refuge who waiting for a real warm-hearted owners. In addition, temporary adopters live with dogs and kittens.

How can you help? With a donation of course!

If you have something you can offer, don’t hesitate! We are waiting for your supplies at the Office A/102 between 2 and 18 of December. (Office hours: Monday-Thursday 9 am to 4pm, Friday 9am to 12 noon)

What would be really needed?

🐾 dog and cat food (dry food, tins, dog salami)

🐾 disinfectant and cleaning products

🐾 rubber gloves

🐾 cat litter…

…and care and love of course ! Therefore, the Association is looking forward to volunteering, who sometimes help to care for the animals, take a walk with them and keep their environment clean. If you feel comfortable and dedicated, the refuge’s door is always open from 9am to 11am.

Student kitchen handover ceremony with surprise

Dear Students!

As you may know, during the fall the student kitchen was completed on the buffet level of Building “A”, and perhaps more people have already used it.

We would like to officially hand over the kitchen to you, because it’s yours, therefore, we warmly invite you to the handover ceremonies of our student kitchen, which we will hold twice, so that our correspondent students are not missed.

– 7 December 2019. (Saturday) 7:45 am

Location: The buffet level of Building “A”

At both meetings, after the welcome of Dean Dr. Beáta Fehérvölgyi, we are preparing with a little surprise in the community space between A/01 and A/02. 😉 Don’t miss it!

International Afternoon 2019

On November 12, 2019, students from the Faculty of Business and Economics will be able to take part in a great International Afternoon between 4 and 6 pm!

About the program:

 

– Pecha Kucha – Introduce your country (interesting presentations in 6-7 minutes)

– Traditional Clothes Show – You will have the opportunity to get to know the national costumes of the international students

– Cake Tasting – You will have the opportunity to try sweets from different nations

– Meditation Session – Yoga exercises

 

The event awaits you with free snacks accompanied by a good mood and a pleasant music, on the 2nd floor of Building “A” in the Faculty of Business and Economics Library!

 

 

WINE WEEK – Professional Study Tour – Focus on wine and gastronomy

Between 7-13th of October 2019. a group of tourism students from the University of Macerata in Italy and wine professionals from the region visited Veszprém, where students from the University of Pannonia joined.

During the professional study tour of The Wine Lab the participants – 30 people – could attend lectures on tourism in the region, such as the insights into Veszprém 2023, the international and domestic trends of gastronomic tourism, the work of the Balaton Development Council, the Balaton World Heritage location, and the role of local values ​​and communities.

The participants visited several sites during the week. At Nemesvámos they were introduced to the production of pumpkin seed oil and cheese. In addition to visiting wineries related to wine tourism – Balatonfüred and Badacsony – the group visited the Faculty of Georgikon of the University of Pannonia and several cultural attractions.

The study tour in a great atmosphere provided a great opportunity for students and professionals interested in the topic to expand their knowledge and develop new relationships and collaborations.

The main objective of The Wine Lab, funded by Erasmus+ between 2017 and 2019, is to promote collaboration and networking between practice and research – wineries and universities – with the active involvement of stakeholders, thereby supporting knowledge sharing, challenges and responses to them; and innovation in the wine sector.

The project is carried out in cooperation with partners from Cyprus, Greece, Hungary, Italy and Austria; From Hungary, the University of Pannonia and the Koczor Winery are members of the consortium.

NOVELTY! Complementing your Erasmus+ with study grant!

ÚJDONSÁG! Kiegészítjük Erasmus+ ösztöndíjadat!Would you like to applying for an Erasmus + Study Mobility Scholarship in Spring semester 2020?

The Faculty of Business and Economics offers an additional grant for the students of the Faculty who have been granted Erasmus+ Student Mobility for Studies scholarship!

In the Spring Semester of the 2019-2020 academic year applications can be uploaded until the 9th February 2020, 23:55 pm!


The Faculty of Business and Economics contributes to the costs of living during the study abroad period with an additional grant, in order to encourage international mobility and gaining experience. The additional grant will be paid monthly from September 2019 until withdrawal to all students who submit an application for the grant during the period of their valid Erasmus+ contract.

From September 2019 until the withdrawal, the Supplementary Scholarship will be paid monthly to all students applying for a faculty grant under a valid Erasmus + contract.

The amount of the additional grant is 25% of the awarded Erasmus+ scholarship.

The grant is available only to the students of the Faculty of Business and Economics. For applications to be considered the following documents need to be submitted:

– Completed and signed application form
– Copy of Erasmus+ Mobility Agreement signed by both parties

Applications can be submitted electronically through the Moodle system at the beginning of each semester, until the last
day of the registration week. In the Spring Semester of the 2019-2020 academic year applications can be uploaded until the 9th February 2020, 23:55 pm.

 


Spend one or two semesters abroad with an Erasmus + scholarship because:

✔ you can travel several locations to get international experiences;
✔ you can improve your language skills;
✔ develop your other skills like communication, problem solving, creativity etc;
✔ be an open minded person, get knowledge from different cultures;
✔ get more social capital;
✔ get more independent, pointful and well informed!

Why don’t you travel too? Everyone can get a scholarship!

Just spend a half or a whole year in one of our receiving institution  partner in 2020 and discover the country, get new connections what you can use after you finished your studies!

The second WineLab Online Contest

The second WineLab Online Contest is inviting scholars to visit their local wineries and perform a Participatory Photo Analysis, that combines photographs, comments and a rating.

Read carefully about the process you must follow. What you must do: Identify strong and weak aspects of European Wineries and design your own poster by mixing text with photographs, highlighting strengths, and suggesting possible improvements to attract young visitors.
