My decision to study in Hungary turned out to be the best decision I have ever made. I will be eternally grateful for this chance, and I encourage everyone to apply for this program. Pannonia University taught me to know more about myself and radically improve my mentality. Living in a completely new environment abroad is always a great adventure for me. One of the most amazing aspects of studying at Veszprém was the opportunity to meet people from in the whole world. Dorm life has helped me feel at home because I’m always surrounded by people of different nationalities. I remember being terrified of being alone when I started moved here, but looking at me today, having close friends from different countries It’s incredible. Studying in Hungary gave me the opportunity to see countries I had never visited before and live a life that I may never have again. Everything I write in this article will pale in comparison to the fantastic experience I had during studies in Veszprém. I couldn’t even imagine that I would be so close to my teachers that helped me a lot in my career. Hungary has been life changing so if you are thinking of studying abroad – do it.

I am a student from Cambodia who just recently graduated from University of Pannonia, Master degree majored in Tourism and Management. I have also completed my Bachelor degree in Tourism and Catering here. I am very delighted and proud to be studying at one of Hungary’s top universities. I am also very satisfied with the university’s facilities and programs that are providing to the students. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, the institution did everything it could to help the students. After over 6 years in Veszprém, I can’t help but think of it as my second home. The serenity and peacefulness of this city captivated not only my eyes but also my emotions. Veszprém has a plethora of activities to offer. The surroundings are pleasant and ideal for individuals who appreciate nature and cultural history. Therefore, I will most certainly be returning!

Zinab Benmaarouf

Mcs Tourism and Management 2022-Morocco

After growing up in a very touristic city in Morocco, Marrakech, my hometown, I chose to study tourism as it is one of the pillars of our country’s economy. However, being a student of tourism requires movements and seeing the world from different perspectives. For some reasons, I chose Hungary as my study abroad destination. One of them is the language, which I will be studying in English and the international environment, and the fact that I will meet people from different continents. For my studies, I was pursuing my Master’s degree in Tourism Management, a very enriching and harmonized program containing a variety of subjects that allowed me to develop a better eye in the travel and tourism industry. However, I can say that I spent two years independently full of ups and downs, achievements , lessons, , without forgetting that I had the chance to explore many countries in Europe as well as my friends culture food and tradition and I had the opportunity to show them mine, all I can say is whenever you have the chance to go out from your comfort zone do it don’t be afraid and Hungary it will be the good decision for you and Pannonia university will be your guide in your career.

I remember my first day in Veszprem, I fell in love with this place. I have significantly improved my English skills. I certainly managed to fit into the Hungarian atmosphere and I am happy to say that it was great! The specifics of my education allowed me to study well the geography and customs of Hungary. And I discovered Hungary as one of the best travel destinations! I was able to travel so much while studying all over Europe. The professors I studied with made a great contribution to my development and horizons. I am happy that I met them. No doubt I encountered new things in the education or information system, but this was not a problem. At Pannonian University I met my friends. And I know for sure that we will stay for a long time in each other’s lives. I can honestly say that due to Covid-19 I was not able to capture the last 1.5 years of my studies live, but even in such conditions, the teachers tried their best. If you are looking for a university in a small beautiful city where you can concentrate on your studies, find inspiration and always find fun, then Pannonian University is for sure. I’ll miss it!

Studying at the University of Pannonia was one of the best decisions I ever made, I completed my first degree at the university and returned back for my masters degree after 3 years of work in the Scandinavian. This is because of the peaceful, helpful and friendly learning environment. Both the academic staffs and non-academics staffs are great and ready to offer their support at all time and Veszprem is a very beautiful and calm city every student will love and worth visiting by tourist in their lifetime. I call this city “Home away from home“

University of Pannonia in Veszprém is an ideal choice for students who want to explore something new and out of the box. It offers a high-quality education and most importantly the friendly and cheerful environment. The staff is well qualified and is always ready to help the students in any way. Overall, my experience so far with everything is very nice and the city has a lot to offer to the students.

Francois Le Texier

Erasmus exchange student, France

I choose Veszprém because I was looking for a small city, furthermore the location of Hungary is a perfect starting point to discover some other countries around. I’m very glad about my choice because it was an amazing cultural and personal discovery, even if it was a bit strange for me to see at the beginning that few people (except students) spoke English but it was very fun at the same time. The Hungarians are full of kindness, especially my mentor who was here to help me each time that I needed him. Here the lecturers are very much open and friendly to their students. I don’t have this feeling to be a child in a college because I’m considered as an adult, a student. So at the end, I’m very glad to be here and it’s already a bit strange for me to think that in less than 60 days it will be over but I met a lot of people from a lot of countries, I discovered an amazing country with nice people and I improved my English skills, so yeah definitely Veszprém and the Erasmus programme was the best choice.

MSc in Economic Analysis, Nigeria

Veszprém is a city with modern lifestyle, while it still preserved its traditions, cultures and values. The lower cost of living and studying in a classy environment in comparison to costs in other EU countries is also a good advantage for me. The University of Pannonia, Faculty of Business and Economics offered me a very exciting and highly competitive curriculum in MA Economic Analysis which can be adjudge as world standard. People of Veszprem are kind people, super friendly and Veszprém has this kind of international atmosphere to live and study regardless of who you are, where you come from, your cultural background etc. I don’t even speak Hungarian yet I feel like I’m at home and welcome. This feeling is really good!! I have been happy ever since I came here and while writing this piece, I realized I could not have been anywhere else than the University of Pannonia. Hungary is indeed the Paris of Eastern Europe.

Saki Tokinami

Tourism and Catering BA, Japan

I came to Hungary to acquire global wide visions. I am surprised to know that a lot of people can speak not only English but also other languages and they also can communicate with each other even by different languages in Europe. Also, I had been to Veszprem twice before I decided to come here to study. I had thought it was a quite beautiful city and I’d like to live in such a city someday. That is why I chose the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Pannonia. I have never changed my impression about this city since I actually started to live here. I am so happy because my primary dream came true. I like to discuss the differences between cultures and habits among some countries with other foreign students in English. This is the best moment for me. I will always do my best to improve myself in Hungarian.

Mira Wahlmüller

Erasmus exchange student, Austria

I wanted to go abroad to learn some more about different people, their countries and cultures. The best moments for me during my stay in Veszprém are the events for example “Taste our Country” were each country is presented. There you can get some information about the other countries and their traditions; there is possibility to try some typically food, and to do some dances together. I also like the sports programme of the university and the possibility to choose from a huge variety for free. Of course I like the courses as well because they are really interesting. The courses are in English which is my salvation, because Hungarian is such a difficult language. But I participate in a language course for foreigners and now I am improving my Hungarian skills as much as possible.

Kamile Vaitiekute

Erasmus exchange student, Lithuania

I chose Hungary and the University of Pannonia, because this country is in the middle of Europe, so my first thought was that I could travel a lot and reach many countries in the easiest way! The second decisive thing was that two of my friends from my university studied here before, so they recommended me to choose Hungary. My experiences are really good here! Especially about the university. I really like it here, because it’s really different from my university in Lithuania. People and lecturers are really friendly, they help you any time! And the lessons are so interesting! And also there is a university lounge where students can relax comfortably. I’m really glad about my choice. I am thinking more and more about coming back here for further studies after my BA. I’m in love with Hungary!
