New name – Faculty of Business and Economics

We would like to kindly inform you that from now on the official name of our faculty is Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE).

This new name represents that the faculty operates not only within the field of economics. Currently the Faculty of Business and Economics has 8 departments:

“Experimental Music in America”
A Talk by Daniel Bruggeman

Daniel Bruggeman, award winning pianist is coming back to Veszprem once more.
This time to give us an engaging talk on an unusual but exciting topic: Experimental Music in America.
Awarding winning pianist Daniel Jared Bruggeman is a doctoral student at The University of Kansas. As a Fulbright recipient, he is studying the influence of folk music on Bela Bartok’s piano compositions. Presently, Bruggeman conducts his piano studies with Balazs Reti, a member of the piano faculty at the Liszt Academy of Music and a Bartok expert. Bruggeman is currently researching the folk music recordings and manuscripts of Bartok at the Hungarian Academy of Science Institute for Musicology. He has a MM degree in music from The University of Kansas and BM degree from Concordia College in Minnesota.

You are cordially invited to attend the 4th National English Language Drama Festival in Veszprem to be held in Latinovits-Bujtor Studio Theater, Veszprem on Friday-Saturday, May 4-5, 2012.

Are you interested in English/American theater? Do you like theater in general? Do you like the English language? And what about both at the same time? If your answer is yes to any of the questions, this program is just for you!

The 2-day program offers the following: an excellent opportunity to
– practice your English language knowledge,

Read for Kids

The program is organized on Thursday afternoons paralelly with the English Conversation Club.
Our English-speaking volunteers read tales and stories for kids in 20-minute periods.
Are you interested in reading out for kids in English? Be a volunteer yourself, and register with the AC Veszprem.

Why is reading out in English important for kids?
– Kids can acquire any language easier.
– Their personalities and receptivity can be developed.
– You can get them to like reading at an early age.

All parents who wish to converse in English and kids interested in the language are welcome to join the programs.
Please register to the program in advance in the American Corner as our seating capacity is limited.
